APTR seeks to advance the rigorous evaluation of the effectiveness of prevention education programs and the assessment of learner outcomes in order to understand, promote, and replicate successful practices. Through the Prevention Education Evaluation Subgrants, two small evaluation projects were supported that focus on expanding the evidence base related to the impact of innovative teaching and academic-practice partnerships in prevention education. Grantees gathered qualitative and quantitative data on translation of classroom instruction and the contribution of service-learning. The evaluations included data on administrative structure, support, and student outcomes.
